Animals Have Something to Say! – Nature Photography Exhibition in Koski Tl

Professional photographer Risto Raunio and children's author Reetta Niemelä came together. The result is an unprecedented Animals Matter! collection, where Niemelä's profound texts seamlessly complement Raunio's stunning nature images in the form of the book Remote Southern Land.

The exhibition is open 8.7.-28.9.2025 at the Yrjö Liipola Art Museum in Koski Tl, during museum opening hours.

All the World’s Penguin Species in One Exhibition

The exhibition is completely unique. It showcases all the world's living penguin species in one place, but also includes a selection of Arctic landscapes, animals and birds. In an unprecedented style, the exhibition is also informative, opening up not only with pictures but also with species information!

Penguins are funny and sympathetic flightless birds, and seeing them brings a smile to your face. Niemelä's informative texts delve into their evolution and current state, and convey a serious message for the future: some species are still doing well, but some are already on the brink of extinction.

Informative Animals Matter! - exhibition is particularly suitable for children, young people, school classes and, of course, anyone interested in nature.

All subjects are authentic, wild and photographed undisturbed in their natural habitat. The Golden eagle, teal and wildlife photos were taken from the shelter of a hidden hut.
